Become the Backbone of Our Security Team: Join Us as a Senior Security Dispatcher!

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? Are you the type of person who can handle multiple tasks while keeping a cool head? We're looking for a Senior Security Dispatcher to join our team and play a key role in keeping our facility safe and secure.

As the eyes and ears behind the scenes, you'll monitor our security camera systems, respond to calls for assistance, and coordinate with security staff to handle both routine and unexpected situations. You'll be the central communication hub, ensuring the safety of everyone in the building.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Monitoring & Responding: You'll be actively monitoring our closed-circuit television (CCTV) security camera system, and you'll respond to incoming calls for security services. When a request comes in, you'll quickly dispatch security staff to handle the situation.
  • Communication Hub: Maintain continuous radio communication with security personnel, ensuring everyone is in sync and the situation is under control.
  • Training & Leadership: Help new dispatchers, officers, and supervisors get up to speed with their duties and required data entries. Your experience and guidance will shape the next generation of security team members.
  • Improvement-Driven: You'll regularly assess and recommend improvements to streamline processes and make our operations even more efficient.
  • Data Accuracy: Review and verify dispatch logs weekly to ensure accuracy and completeness, and consult with leadership to track statistics that help measure the department's success.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside other dispatchers to provide support during high-pressure or irregular situations, ensuring that the team works seamlessly together.
What We're Looking For:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One year of experience as a security or police dispatcher, where you've honed your ability to think quickly and stay calm in tense situations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for accurately documenting activity, answering calls, and processing requests for security services.
  • Tech-Savvy: Good vision for monitoring security cameras and strong hearing to maintain effective radio communication.
  • Training Ability: Ability to facilitate effective training for new team members, ensuring they're well-prepared for their duties.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work at alternate security post locations, and have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime as needed.
  • Licensing: You must be able to obtain a Private Security Officer's License under Truman Medical Centers within 20 days of hire and maintain it throughout employment. (The license must remain active with no suspension or revocation.)
Why You'll Love Working with Us:
  • Impactful Role: Your work will be central to the safety and security of the entire hospital, directly contributing to a safer environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Training Opportunities: You'll have the chance to train and mentor new dispatchers and security officers, helping to shape the future of the team.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: No two days are the same, and you'll always have an exciting challenge to handle.
  • Team-Oriented: You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative team, working together to tackle challenges and improve processes.

Ready to be the key communicator who keeps the security operations running smoothly? Apply today and help us ensure a safe environment for all!
