Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Student Assistant within the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
The Student Assistant will support the development and administration of several research studies focused on lung cancer using mouse models. Having experience in mouse work will be preferred.
Among the key duties for this position are the following:
- Supports research activities, including maintaining mouse colonies which will be achieved by weaning mouse, ear tag, extraction of genomic DNA from mouse tailsfor genotyping via PCR and agarose gel electrophoresis.
- Collects and analyze data.
- Prepares and/or compiles data for special reports and analyses, monthly reports, program evaluations, and other related reports.
- Conducts literature reviews. 5. Assists with the editing and preparation of manuscripts, publications, reports and presentations.
- Prepares materials for submission of grant applications.
- Performs other related lab duties as assigned.

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024.
