Adoption Specialist (flex-hybrid)

Description

The Adoption Specialist is responsible for effective dissemination of information and end user engagement, acting as a change agent in the promotion of system adoption and supporting the organization towards achieving meaningful use of health information technology.

The Specialist executes day-to-day operations of health IT adoption and engagement programs for the enterprise, with a particular focus on inpatient areas, including but not limited to IT Super User, IT Rounding, and IT Modified Duty Programs.

Responsibilities include leading IT Rounding sessions, administering the Super User designation portal, facilitating meetings, developing and administering training, maintaining program plans, and providing project support for CareConnect and other IT initiatives. The Specialist serves as a liaison for end users by identifying pain points and looking at trends to escalate to appropriate IT teams for resolution. They partner with operational leadership and IT teams in the development, implementation, and optimization of the adoption and engagement portfolio to support the overarching goals of the organization.

This is a flex-hybrid role which will require you to be onsite at least 10% of time or as required by operational need; there are no reimbursements for travel to "home office" location. Each employee must complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager which will outline arrangement parameters and aids both parties in fully understanding expectations. Arrangements are regularly evaluated, and are subject to termination.

Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position is $32.95 -67.53hourly. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is approximately between the minimum and midpoint.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in supporting clinicians and end users with the clinical information's system (Epic preferred)
  • Inpatient clinical experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Credentialing Program Training Requirements:
    • Obtain first Epic credentialing in a clinical application within 6 months of hire
    • Obtain second Epic credentialing in a clinical application within 12 months, as the schedule permits
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments and projects
  • Demonstrate project management skills (ability to lead meetings, prioritize, maintain issues list, manage project plans)
  • Intermediate proficiency with information systems technology including Microsoft Office Suite, SnagIt, Box, email and other systems
  • Working knowledge of adult learning theory and/or training approaches and best practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, learning new applications as needed
  • Ability to translate user needs and train end-users
  • Ability to identify, analyzes, solve problems and focus on results through positive interactions
  • High functioning team skills, including active listening, rapport building, receiving work assignments, follow-up skills and work with people of all backgrounds and at all levels
  • Ability to work under tight project deadlines and remain calm in difficult and stressful situations
  • Excellent communication skills specifically related to training strategy, schedules, tasks, deliverables, and adoption issues, producing clear and unambiguous documentation
  • Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain a spirit of cooperation and respect, flourish in an unstructured environment, and always engage in professional and ethical conduct
