The incumbent is responsible for materials stocking, inventory, pulling, and movement. Has limited contact with individuals inside and outside of the organization. Receives considerable supervision from the Warehouse Manager and/or Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Must be customer-oriented, customer-focused, and have a professional attitude.
  • Prepares, receives, inspects, inventories, loads, unloads, transports, segregates, routes, stores, stocks, issues, turns in, ships, and delivers incoming and outgoing property in a timely manner.
  • Compares packing lists, receiving documents, bills of lading, inspection reports, and other documents with contracts, purchase orders, or other requisitions to verify the accuracy of stock identification, quantity, condition, and other pertinent data. Inspects, tags, labels, counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Updates records, receipts, and other applicable documents as necessary by use of data processing equipment.
  • Coordinates with requisitioning agency and other personnel as necessary to ensure the timely transfer of parts, property, and equipment.
  • Issues, documents, ships, delivers or transfers property from issue, shipping, or transfer destination points.
  • Stores and issues hazardous waste and materials.
  • Controls the issue of sensitive, classified, and controlled items.
  • Prepares and selects appropriate containers for use in storage or shipment of materials.
  • Determines the method of shipment of all materials and waste, utilizing knowledge of regulations, shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Complies with DOT Hazardous Material Transportation Procedures.
  • Prepares, maintains, files, and completes forms, records, reports, logs, and other related documents in accordance with applicable technical publications and other directives as required.
  • Maintains stock records, inventory records, and other applicable documents to create an audit trail.
  • Complies with proper operating procedures when utilizing vehicles, ground support, and material handling equipment.
  • Processes Beyond Economical Repair (BER) components.
  • Processes repair of repairable components.
  • Creates requisitions for parts and materials to meet maintenance requirements utilizing appropriate automated logistics and information management systems.
  • Orders, receives, and issues parts and materials using SAP / EWM
  • Researches potential lateral support and coordinates material transfer.
  • Interprets parts substitutions and usable on codes in the Illustrated Parts Break-down (IPB).
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the work area, and performs various daily office tasks and any other logistics-related duties as required or assigned.
  • Participates in cycle count of inventory including research on out-of-balance conditions and recounts.
  • Stocks, inventories, pulls and moves parts throughout the Company and outside the Company as required.
  • Assists coworkers and those in other departments to successfully perform job tasks and functions when necessary.
  • Follows all safety procedures and practices as established by the Company and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.
  • Greets visitors, new employees, and clients.
  • Exhibits positive courteous behavior with customers businesses and coworkers.


This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:



  • Graduation from a standard four (4) year high school or equivalent (GED) and six (6) months of warehouse, inventory or clerical experience.
  • A valid state Driver's license is required.
  • A forklift license is preferred.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:



  • Must have experience in automated inventory control of parts, materials, and equipment management and property management functions.
  • Have working knowledge of SAP/ EWM ERP system
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of the packaging, storage, shipment, and transfer of property and supplies.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of military property accountability procedures, forms, and records.
  • Have a working knowledge of the military/government supply system pertaining to aircraft parts, components, materials, and applicable maintenance/technical publications.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and follow technical manuals, directives, oral and written instructions, and other applicable data.
  • Must have knowledge of elementary arithmetic: addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Must be familiar with general office concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions and have the ability to work with others to effect solutions to ordinary situations/problems.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (oral & written).
  • Must be able to plan and prioritize work assignments with little or no supervision.
  • Must be willing and able to deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
  • Must be able to work weekends, other shifts, and overtime as required.
  • Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instructions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.
