Job Description We are looking for a talented and driven Software Engineering Manager to join our development organization. In this role, you will enable a team of Software Developers (10-15 direct reports) to design, develop, test, and deploy applications for our best in class Video Management Portfolio. A successful candidate will need strong technical skills, is decisive and believes in continuous delivery. Must not be afraid to experiment and adapt to meet the organization needs. Responsibilities include: Working with our development teams and stakeholders to create high quality software Ensure all Agile SDLC roles are owning their aspects of the product development cycle and support areas when needed Approach all aspects of engineering leadership with an eye toward continuous improvement Work closely with engineering and product leadership to ensure teams are tackling the right priorities Anticipate what's next and champion the balance between short and long term objectives Agile coaching, career planning and training exploration for staff Inspire and grow our engineers /scrum teams to be high performing Qualifications: 5+ years of technical leadership and/or engineering management experience 10+ years of experience building, testing and deploying distributed applications (Mobile client applications, Windows Applications, Web Applications, Cloud Microservices and Server Applications) Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals and software engineering best practices in an Agile environment Passionate in building high performance teams that pride themselves on building high quality software BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience Ability to multi-task with a strong sense of urgency Ability to hold teams accountable Ability to concisely illustrate concepts in words and diagrams Ability to clearly explain and justify ideas when faced with competing alternatives. Ability to research and learn new topics and become functional with them quickly. Extremely comfortable with working with remote team members. Some travel required (less than 15%) Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience: Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of continuous delivery tools and best practices Experience with organizational change management Experience with media delivery over IP networks Experience with distributed applications development Experience with mobile applications development Experience with microservice development The base salary range for this position in Colorado and California is $160,000 - $180,000 depending on experience. #LI-CA1 Basic Requirements Bachelors Degree 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership or engineering management role Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
