Description

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Central Station Operator to join our fire business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Answer burglar and fire alarm signals received via computer
  • Effectively dispatch emergency alarms
  • Coordinate activities with police and fire departments during alarms
  • Place alarms in and out of test mode while technicians are servicing alarms
  • Notify customers of alarm, trouble and supervisory signals on subscribers' premises
  • Monitoring of all types of alarm signals including but not limited to surveillance videos
  • Data entry
  • Effectively communicate with customers
  • Multitask and manage priorities
  • Contact supervisor by telephone to report irregularities and obtain further instructions


Basic Qualifications



  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Ability to handle multi phone lines and high volume of incoming calls


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience as a central station operator
  • Ability to use judgement and decision making skills to evaluate situations
  • Ability work under stressful situations
  • Actively listen and communicate effectively through clear speech and hearing



    Salary: $25.00 an hour
