ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1. Coordinates resources with the extrusion team and leads to achieve production goals.
2. Provides feedback to supervisor regarding individual team member performance.
3. Conducts effective team meetings.
4. Ensures team records, history and documentation is maintained.
5. Facilitates continuous quality improvement processes.
6. Operates, maintains and troubleshoots extruders, blenders, cutters, pullers, water baths, and sizing equipment.
7. Operates extrusion equipment for the mandril, wirebraid, and compounding lines.
8. Processes various documentation, such as work orders.
9. Assists in the implementation of new products and equipment.
10. Contributes to meeting department goals and operational metrics.
11. Assist extrusion supervisor in training other production operators.
12. Contributes to a positive and safe working environment and the overall team efforts of the department.
13. Coordinate with materials, production floor, stock room and NPD to establish priorities.
14. Conduct production, R&D, and engineering runs.
15. Ensure that employees assisting in completing production work orders are efficient and completing assigned tasks to applicable procedures.
16. Performs other related duties, as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Education equivalent to a high school diploma and five years of related experience.
* Demonstrated leadership skills.
* Knowledge of the operation of extruders, braiders, pullers, cutters, dies, etc.
* Individual must be self-motivated and possess good judgment in order to maintain a high degree of quantity with quality.
* Ability to recognize problems and make adjustments to the equipment.
* Ability to perform repetitive tasks well.
* Ability to follow instructions in performing repetitive tasks.
* Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations and follow procedures.
* Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
