SUMMARY

After court disposition, the SentencingClerk enters final charges and sentences into Common Pleas Case Management System ("CPCMS") and JNET/SGS Web (PA Sentencing Commission).Time served credit calculation, community service requirements, fines, restitution and any other special conditions are added as well. Data accuracy shall be checked before final submittal.

The Sentencing Clerk shall maintain up to date accuracy of the State Guidelines System software (JNET/SGS Web) and CPCMS. Routine communication shall occur with the Sentencing Commission (JNET/SGS Web) and Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts/court clerks/judicial staff (CPCMS).

Paperwork showing true and correct disposition of cases is submitted to the Sentencing Commission on JNET/SGS Web and attached to the docket entry in CPCMS.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is also required

Reports directly to the Deputy Court Administrator - Criminal.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions and Accountabilities

  • Gathers information from the sentence sheets, bill of information, etc. and enters final charges and sentences into JNET/SGS Web and CPCMS.
  • Maintains up-to-date accuracy of the State Guidelines System software and CPCMS.
  • Communicates with State Guidelines Coordinator in Harrisburg.
  • Communicates with the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts, court clerks, and judicial staff regarding Sentencing/Disposition Sheets.
  • Perform other duties/tasks as assigned by the Court Administrator, Criminal Deputy Court Administrator, Criminal 2nd Deputy Court Administrator, and/or other supervisor over this position.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned with the scope and range of job responsibilities.
  • Other duties as designated by the District Court Administrator.
  • Non-remote work required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Credentials

  • Paralegal Certificate preferred (not required), or other related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
  • High School Diploma.
