Situated at the intersection of healthcare, research and education, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine seeks applicants for the new position of Director of Value and Engagement Strategy. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the director is a key leader in the future of internal and external marketing and communications. The Director will play a vital role in increasing awareness, driving engagement, and fostering loyalty and love for the college, university, and academic health center. This includes articulating the value proposition for college programs, developing the brand strategy and marketing approach, managing internal communications and public relations, and working with cross-functional teams to execute on the strategies developed. The Director will be a manager by influence, requiring strong skills in developing mutually productive and collaborative working relationships with peers across the system, including UC Marketing + Communications, UC Health Marketing & Communications, UC Foundation, the UC Colleges of Nursing, Pharmacy, and Allied Health Sciences, and the myriad staff responsible for marketing and outreach across the academic health center. The Director may manage or have oversight of the budget and expenditures for the functional areas assigned and provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
