Tax Supervisor

SUMMARY
With supervision and oversight, support for a wide variety of tax functions including tax reporting, tax compliance, the development of process and technology automation, SOX Compliance, research and planning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Preparation/Review of US Federal consolidated tax return and other US tax forms.
  • Preparation/Review of State and Local tax returns including sales and use tax and property tax.
  • Preparation/Review of tax account reconciliations.
  • Support quarterly and annual ASC 740 and effective tax rate calculations.
  • Preparation/Review of return to provision adjustments (true-up calculations)
  • Review Fixed Asset tax information and reporting.
  • Assist in the development of process and technology automation in the Tax Department.
  • Monitor compliance with corporate SOX procedures.
  • Research and Planning projects as needed on complex business and technical tax positions.
  • Supervise and coach junior team members
  • Respond to requests from Field personnel and Business Unit personnel.
  • Perform special projects as required.
  • Assist field locations with tax matters including provision, compliance and contract review.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • A four year College degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance mandatory, Masters in Accounting highly preferred, or other country equivalent.
  • A minimum of seven or more years of progressive experience in the area of US Federal Tax.
  • Some international tax experience preferred
  • Intermediate expertise with One Source software.
  • Intermediate expertise with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified Public Accountant is preferred

  • Strong communication skills.
