About Metro
Metro is Southwest Ohio's fixed-route bus service, which serves Hamilton County residents in addition to providing commuter routes from Clermont, Butler and Warren counties into Cincinnati. Metro is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA), providing about 14 million rides per year in the Greater Cincinnati area. New Bus Operator Hiring Program
Metro bus operators enjoy paid training, competitive pay, and benefits. Applicants do not need a commercial driver's license to apply. Qualified applicants will receive Metro training to acquire their CDL along with reimbursement for CDL fees.
Metro bus operator pay begins at $16 per hour for trainees. Metro also provides comprehensive health and dental benefits, retirement benefits, and free transportation passes for a spouse and dependents. New operators will be eligible to receive up to a $1,000 hiring bonus upon the successful completion of their trial trip and probationary period.
Bus operator candidates who start within three weeks of receiving an offer letter will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $100 gift card.
