Aviation Quality Control Supervisor

PRIMARY FUNCTION
Reports to the Aviation Quality Manager, supervises and coordinates daily activities of MV-22 Technical Inspectors engaged in inspection, maintenance functions, aircraft preservation, aircraft systems operational checks, and final inspections of MV-22 aircraft maintenance or modifications. Coordinates with Maintenance Control to resolve aircraft discrepancies discovered during maintenance, inspections, or operational checks, assists with TAR creation and repairs dispositions directed by engineering. Assists with briefing purpose and objectives of Functional Check Flights (FCF) to pilots and aircrew, debrief, and determine compliance with FCF objectives and discrepancies discovered during FCF as required. Works closely with maintenance control ensuring inspector coverage of flights, maintenance, and preservation priorities are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Fulfill required role of Quality Assurance Supervisor during MV22 Safe For Flight release processes.

Work closely with Aviation Maintenance Supervisors when conducting day to day personnel management.

Facilitate day to day operations between the MV22 Yulista Quality Assurance department and Government Quality Assurance (APT).

Oversee daily work of inspectors assigned to include time and attendance, OT scheduling

* Manages personnel issues and conducts investigations and problem solving as required

* Interacts with customers, government surveillance, engineering, programs and operations on a daily basis

* Attends meetings as required occasionally working beyond normal shift

* Provide and/or delegates, guidance, mentorship and training for technical inspectors

* Coordinate with the Customer Quality Assurance Representative concerning quality matters, mandatory inspection points and final acceptance inspection of contract end items or services

* Assists Quality team members or management with failure and nonconforming material data recording and reporting

* Actively participates in business and strategic planning as required

* Ensure training for Inspectors are kept up to date

* Fulfill required role of Quality Assurance Supervisor during MV22 Safe For Flight release processes.

* Review Project work request for completeness and accuracy

* Provide accurate weekly/monthly status reporting, metrics, and other contractual obligations to meet project performance requirements and customer expectations

* Other duties as directed by the assigned Supervision

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will have direct reports and supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks and delegate duties as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
* Must be able to analyze program risk and develop mitigation strategies
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
* Intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs
* Use special test equipment and tools
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
* Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with external contacts such as customers, vendors, suppliers, shipping companies
* Must be trustworthy - will handle confidential information routinely
* Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others
* Strong customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up
* Analytical skills with ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas
* Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management
* Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures
* Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
* High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
* Ability to multi-task

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous Marine Corp service required for this position.

(8) Years MV-22 Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR) or Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) experience, minimum of (11) years' experience with standards, policies and regulatory requirements on MV-22 aircraft (Government and/or Commercial)
* Preferred candidates will have experience in all aircraft systems.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
* Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field required.
* Experience working on government programs
* Ability to pass a drug and background screening
