American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking a National Sales Manager - Large Health Plans, Clinical Programs to join our Sales Clinical Programs department. This position will produce new Clinical Program revenue through large health plans, and other alternative channels. Develop and maintain database of national prospects in CRM, identify sales leads, coordinate sales meetings and formal sales presentations and secure signed contracts.
Salary Range
American Specialty Health complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate's qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $89,300 to $115,000 Full-Time Annual Salary Range.
Remote Worker Considerations
Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained remotely and must be able to work from home (WFH) in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment.This remote/WFH position requires you have a stable connection to your Internet Service Provider with the ability to participate by video in online meetings over a reliable and consistent network (minimum internet download of 50 Mbps and 10 Mbps upload speed).
Responsibilities
- Identifies and develops sales leads.
- Achieves annual new business $6M revenue goal.
- Develops and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to meet sales objectives in assigned territory and business objectives for retention and growth.
- Develops, executes, and drives ASH's Clinical Programs sales distribution through health plan and other sales channels.
- A poised professional who makes a highly positive first impression and who continues to enhance this impression through demonstrated professional capabilities and persuasive sales results.
- Solid judgment is decisive and has the conceptual skills and abilities to develop marketing and sales alternatives for new business growth and diversification.
- Demonstrates ability to sell conceptually to large health plans and to effectively probe and qualify leads.
- Travels within assigned territory.
- Demonstrate willingness to critique your own performance and actively solicit feedback from others.
- Maintains and utilizes CRM database including daily tracking of all sales activity and to ensure that data is accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Follows through assigned and prospective client health plans to establish potential presentation meetings or follow up meetings. These primary responsibilities are of significant importance to ASH and the success of the National Sales Manager in these areas has significant positive impact on ASH. The corresponding failure to properly follow through in these responsibilities may result in significant harm to ASH.
- Targets largest and most interested prospects and assists in closing sales of ASH products and services.
- Sets appointments including initial sales calls, webinars, follow-up meetings and formal sales presentations.
- Attends and participates in national industry conferences.
- Manages assigned Large Health Plan relationships seeking "upsell" opportunities: collaborates and works closely with Health Plan Fitness NSM and Client Services.
- Assists in coordinating presentation team internally in both prospecting and finalist stages of the sales process.
- Submits the following reports to SVP:
- Weekly report outlining activities, challenges, progress.
- Other ad hoc reports requested by management.
- Attends all functions related to entertaining employees of contracted health plans or prospects, such dinner or other activities as directed and approved by SVP.
- Meets administrative deadlines and accuracy related to selling and implementing new groups.
- Actively engages and participates in sales meetings and training sessions.
- Develops and demonstrates the ability to conduct effective presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent. If equivalent experience, High School diploma required.
- Minimum three to five years sales or account management experience with demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quotas. Experience managing health plan relationships and/or selling to executives, c-suite.
- Experience in a health care environment preferred.
- Insurance License required after 90 days of employment.
- Experience with proposal and presentation development.
- Proficient in MS Office, Microsoft CRM, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Valid Driver's license with good driving record. Availability of automobile for on the job use and proof of insurance.
- Must have acceptable credit to qualify for a company American Express Card.
- Proven sales track record
- Skilled in the medical field and knowledgeable with medical terminology.
- Ability to manage time effectively, work independently to achieve maximum results.
- Results oriented person who is professional in the way that they get things done.
- Skilled in methods for calculating and understanding business risks.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong public speaking, verbal, and written communication skills.

- Ability to manage complex sales cycle.

Environmental Conditions
Work-from-home (WFH) environment. When traveling outside the facility, usual weather, traffic, and related travel conditions are applicable.
