This is an unpaid internship.
SCOPE OF WORK: The intern will assist the Private Sponsorship Matching and Placement team with various aspects of assurance and travel coordination processing for refugees being sponsored through the Welcome Corps RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist with Case Allocations and Assurances: Support outreach to Private Sponsor Groups for initial confirmations of sponsorship and complete case management updates and submissions.
* Travel Assistance Support: Support the Matching and Placement Team with travel related processing activities such as notifying sponsors of booked travel and travel cancellations. Quality-check all travel confirmations to ensure all sponsors have received and acknowledged arrival information.
* Additional Assurance Activities: Support submissions of Private Sponsor Group address changes, case status email responses, case returns and interpretation bookings.
* Support Team with Data Analysis: Assist in analyzing matching and placement data and generating reports or insights as needed. Provide support in gathering additional information or conducting follow-up research.
* Attend Team Meetings and Provide Updates: When available participate in team meetings to discuss progress, share findings, and address any challenges. Provide regular updates on the status of tasks and projects.
* Assist with Additional Tasks as Needed: Take on other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Program Officer and others on the team. Be adaptable and willing to contribute to various aspects of the project or department.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree or recent graduate.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Data analysis and visualization skills preferred.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.
This position is unpaid and reports to the Senior Program Officer for Private Sponsorship Matching and Placement.
