Provides support to the Maintenance and Production teams by maintaining the factory's tool room. Duties to include checking parts in and out of inventory using a bar code scanner, placing PO's for replacement and new parts and tracking the orders, performing inventory counts, creating charts and reports for Maintenance activities, receive and stock parts and tools and other clerical duties as required. The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, detail orientated and able to work independently. Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity acting as the lead technical resource for air handling equipment involving heating and cooling systems, electrical circuit designs, and fabricated assemblies.
Gives advice, analyzes information, and serves as a professional resource on whom others may rely within a specific function relating to productions' assemblies.
Has the ability to navigate bills of material systems to find, identify, communicate, and correct errors.
Participates as an engineering representative in cross-functional New Product Introduction processes.
Evaluates, analyzes, and makes recommendations on products, designs, and cost improvements to improve the competitive position of the company.
Drives partnerships between Applications, Project Engineers, Designers, and Manufacturing to deliver engineering solutions.
Analyzes test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional, performance, and safety specifications.
Analyzes and evaluates the procurement of new materials to support model changes.
Analyzes, evaluates, and recommends cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and design changes.
Provides support to sales and marketing on product presentations and customer support.
Uses computer-assisted engineering design software and equipment to perform evaluations and recommendations.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies & maintain technical competency in relevant subject matter areas via industry relationships, professional associations (ASHRAE, AHRI), & technical publications to maintain awareness of basic research activities, materials or processes, working fluids, regulatory implications, & supplier or competitive actions.
Collaborate and coordinate efforts necessary to maintain compliance with agencies such as ETL, UL, DOE, and AHRI.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in a technical, scientific or engineering degree.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of principles and practices of engineering, preferably in the HVAC industry.
- PC skills including Microsoft office applications. Basic skills with CAD applications, a plus.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, self-direct daily activities, lead by example, and take initiative.
