In conjunction with the management team this position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating departmental education and competency plans. Organizing, updating and implementing orientation program for new Clinical Lab Assistant and Clinical Lab Assistant Lead personnel and maintaining, revising, and updating departmental Policies and Procedures. The incumbent is accountable for the assessment, planning, and implementation of drawing Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric patients and communicating with families. He/She must demonstrate the ability to work with patient's physical, motor/sensory adaptation, cognitive and psycho social needs specific to the population being served, and meet standards of quality as required by the department. In collaboration with the management team, this position has the authority to develop and schedule education and competency programs while incorporating Patient Experience standards defined by Leadership and the organization. This individual is responsible for supporting team building and leadership efforts within the health systems as well as performing direct patient care as required or requested.
