Our client is seeking a part-time STORE CLERK. Candidates must have the availability to work 20-24 hours/week (possibly more) during 8AM to 6PM, Monday-Friday, as well as rotating Saturdays. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist customers by answering questions, giving them direction or advice in person or on the phone and taking product orders. Check out customers at the cash register by providing prompt and courteous service. Keep the store shelves fully stocked, labeled, and rotated. Take special orders and follow through to completion with the customer. Maintain a clean, dusted, and well-organized store. Keep register area organized and supplied: bags, boxes, register tape, cash on hand, etc. Communicate any problems or concerns to the store manager. Efficiently use the computer and inventory books for resources. Assist in the overall operation of the store to insure a comfortable, professional atmosphere for customers. Help customers carry purchases to their vehicles. Miscellaneous duties as directed. Conduct yourself in a professional, courteous manner at all times. Take direction from supervisor and complete tasks on time. Working Conditions: The work setting is usually maintained at average temperature, but the position requires entering multiple coolers and walk-in freezer for short periods of time. Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to carry and transfer products from one place to another. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Math skills to accurately make change for customers paying with cash. Good verbal and written communication skills with English fluency. Experience working on computers with the interest to learn new programs Experience with a cash register is a big plus.
