Director, TTR Patient Marketing - DTC Lead

Overview

As the Director of Patient Marketing, DTC Lead, you will hold a pivotal position on a fast-paced, highly collaborative team driving the success of the TTR franchise. Our TTR marketing team is at the forefront of commercializing an industry-leading TTR Franchise, with a focus on preparing for the potential launch of Vutrisiran in cardiomyopathy while continuing to establish market leadership for ONPATTRO (patisiran) and AMVUTTRA (vutrisiran) in polyneuropathy.

If approved, Vutisiran is anticipated to emerge with a market-leading profile in ATTR-CM, offering a unique mechanism of action and the potential for a highly impactful clinical profile in a rapidly growing market with significant unmet patient needs. In this role, you will drive DTC strategy and lead consumer campaign development and execution.

Working closely with US TTR marketing leadership, as well as key cross-functional partners, you will develop and deliver key Patient-focused marketing programs, driving forward our mission to deliver innovative solutions and improve outcomes for patients with hATTR-PN and ATTR-CM, if approved.

The position reports to the Senior Director, US TTR Patient Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a comprehensive direct-to-consumer strategy aimed at maximizing Share of Voice (SOV) for AMV.
  • Collaborate with fellow marketing members and key cross-functional partners to ensure alignment of messaging and tactics across channels.
  • Develop and execute key marketing materials across all relevant channels including digital, traditional, and emerging platforms.
  • In partnership with Omnichannel marketing lead, align on a robust set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of DTC campaigns.
  • Leverage market research and data-driven insights to inform DTC strategies and messaging.
  • Partner with patient services marketing to develop best in class patient support messaging and offerings
  • Partner closely with the Patient Engagement Lead to ensure materials and messaging alignment on key tactics that support Patients and Caregivers throughout the treatment journey.
  • Continuously evaluate performance against KPIs and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Foster a culture of strategic thinking and tactical execution among team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Encourage innovation and experimentation to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market landscape.
  • Collaborate with legal, regulatory, and compliance stakeholders to ensure compliant development and execution of all strategies and tactics.
  • Effectively manage and maintain relationships with Agency Partners.
  • Provide oversight on DTC marketing budget to ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing, healthcare consulting, or healthcare agency experience, with a preference for expertise in consumer strategy and patient marketing.
  • Demonstrated success in creating and executing successful direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Required experience with TV across multiple platforms including broadcast and/or video advertising platforms (OTT/CTV/OLV)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in budget management and optimizing marketing investments for maximum effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking abilities in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Preferred experience with specialty products.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute brand strategies.
  • Strong experience in managing external agencies and vendors.
  • Solid project and program management experience.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time for Patient Congresses, patient programs, field training meetings, and other relevant events.
