Rapiscan Laboratories, designs, manufactures and markets security and inspection systems worldwide. Rapiscan Laboratories security and inspection devices can be found in a wide range of locations such as airports, border crossings, railway stations, seaports and terminals, government and military installations and nuclear facilities. As the world's leading security screening provider, Rapiscan Laboratories provides state-of-the-art products, solutions and services to meet our customers' most demanding threat detection needs. Our engineering team is seeking an experienced, dynamic and collaborative engineering professional to lead our engineering team in developing new Trace detection products and providing sustaining support for existing products. The Sr. Director, Instruments Engineering will lead and mentor a team of scientists and engineers responsible for Trace detection technology and engineering through the entire product lifecycle from concept ideation to product sunset. This is a managerial role as well as technical engineering one. This leader will be expected to both manage the team developing novel systems but also perform investigations leading to advances in our technology. As the engineering leader of a core Rapiscan Laboratories technology area, the Sr. Director, Instruments Engineering will report to the CTO and work with the engineering leaders responsible for other core technology areas including X-ray, Computed Tomography, Software platforms, Hardware platforms, Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence.
