Minimum Required Qualifications: The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- 1+ years of equivalent experience preferred in the food industry and manufacturing facility.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended hours.
- Must lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, including overhead.
- Must be able to work in a wet environment.
- Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Must have well-developed organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and follow through on multiple projects.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work with limited supervision.
- Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
Essential Job Functions: The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Clean and sanitize equipment, tanks, lines, etc...
- Set up various filling, bottle handling, case handling, and labeling equipment.
- Clean, set up, operate, and monitor equipment within a dairy production environment.
- Complete all required documentation and schedule quality checks.
- Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of products.
- Adjust filler timing as needed.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
- Collect the samples needed for quality assurance testing.
- Perform filler and filler line changeovers safely and efficiently.
- Relieve machine operators for breaks.
- Communicate with other departments, management, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may alter production efficiency.
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clean, legible, and accurate format and completed with the required information.
- Ensure all required information is documented per SOPs.
- Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Follow all required work safety practices, including wearing all required PPE in designated areas and handling chemicals safely.
- Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs, and food quality related to designated areas.
- Report any food safety and food quality-related issues to management immediately.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Work overtime as required.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
