Job Summary: Currently, we are seeking an Operating Engineer to join our Corporate Building Services team. Responsibilities: Being client focused is our first responsibility Assist the Facility Manager in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment. Maintain the various building systems, including but not limited to HVAC, Electrical, Lighting, Plumbing and Fire Life Safety. Replace A/C filters and belts as needed. General interior maintenance - drywall repair, painting, hang pictures, repair office furniture systems. Minor plumbing repairs - install faucets and restroom dispensers Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested. Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations. Respond effectively to all emergencies. Must be available for on-call rotation. Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them. Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws. Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials. Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs. Maintain and implement compliance with the JLL "Engineering Services Compliance Program". Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Documents work performance and materials procurement using a CMMS platform. Requirements: Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable, have a minimum of three (3) years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical. HVAC and Plumbing experience a plus Electrical and mechanical aptitude a must Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft. Have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel Must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required. Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) and client-directed Policies & Procedures. Successful candidate must be a self-motivated individual who can work independently or in a team environment. Must have dependable transportation to travel between assigned client sites. Must complete background and drug testing.
