Overview
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will lead the development and execution of engineering projects. Come join our team and help us design complex systems, uphold regulatory requirements, and problem solve unique challenges. This role can be located in one of the following locations:
Kennesaw, GA
- Tampa, FL
- Birmingham, AL
- Dallas, TX
- Palm Beach Gardens, FL
- Lake Mary, FL
- Chattanooga, TN
Responsibilities
This role involves managing budgets, schedules, scope, and quality to ensure project success with minimal oversight. You'll design and prepare comprehensive engineering packages, including drawings, calculations, and specifications, while applying technical principles and adhering to industry codes and standards.
- Project Management: Own project budgets, scopes, schedules, and quality, while guiding team members to ensure successful, high-quality outcomes
- Design and Technical Expertise: Develop detailed engineering design packages, drawings, specifications, and evaluations tailored to client needs, applying innovative and practical solutions
- Standards and Compliance: Ensure all designs and deliverables align with industry codes, standards, and regulations
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and foster strong relationships with colleagues and client engineers to achieve project goals
- Growth and Field Support: Embrace opportunities to learn new tools and provide hands-on expertise during field installations, system checkouts, and start-up activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering with generally at least 3+ years of experience
- Power system design experience preferred
- Strong skills in writing, presentation and communication
- Proficient in performing electrical calculations
- Able to provide informed recommendation based on expertise
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven ability as an individual contributor and team member
- Physically able to visit client sites (including stairs or ladders)
- Open to travel up to 20% of the time
Preferred Qualifications / Skills
- PE license highly preferred; EIT preferred
- Prior ETAP or SKM experience is a plus
- Renewables experience is a plus
