Position Purpose







The psychometrist will work directly with patients, administering and scoring neuropsychological tests, writing brief behavioral observations, and completing related administrative tasks.









Nature and Scope







* Prepare patient charts for the neuropsychologist.

* Administer and score neuropsychological tests.

* Complete written qualitative descriptions for each patient

* Ensure patient comfort and facilitate engagement with evaluation.

* Work with family members to complete collateral questionnaires and support patient engagement.

* Communicate with the neuropsychologist regarding issues arising during evaluation.

* Communicate with patients and families regarding the nature of testing.

* Assist with research projects.

* Working with Renown staff to ensure prompt return of patient phone calls.

* Communicate with physicians in the community to obtain/send medical records, scan, and file paper charts.

* Reorder testing supplies as needed.

* Maintain the security of test instruments and patient information.

* Assist in filing and organization of paperwork for related educational activities for students.

Education:



Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in psychology, school psychology, cognitive science, or related field. Priority will be given to candidates with:

* Master's degree in psychology or related field

* >/= 1 year of relevant work experience

* Fluency in Spanish

* Experience with cognitively impaired or intellectually disabled individuals



Experience:



Comfort with data analysis/statistics

Strong interpersonal skills

High degree of conscientiousness and attention to detail

Computer / Typing:



Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
