The successful candidate will join the Group of Prof. Buddhapriya (Buddho) Chakrabarti in the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Biomanufacturing Cluster at Kansas State University. Theresearch objectives of this position involve a unique blend of computational and analytical techniques, to answer fundamental problems at the interface of soft matter and biology. The soft-matter objectives are industry-focused, while those on biophysics are curiosity-driven.

Responsibilities for this role include:

1) Conduct comprehensive and up-to-date literature surveys and perform a gap analysis.

2) Design and execute simulations and analytical calculations as per the project requirements and collaborate with team members.

3) Prepare clear, concise, and visually appealing presentations based on research findings and present them at internal and external meetings, conferences, and workshops.

4) Develop, maintain, and document computational codes used in research. Ensure rigorous methodology and reproducibility of results. Curate and manage datasets, ensuring data integrity and compliance with institutional and funding agency guidelines.

5) Provide guidance and support to graduate and master's students, including training in research techniques and data analysis.
