We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager specializing in hospitality development, renovation & adaptive re-use to join our Project and Development Services team. Our team's priorities are:
Using strategic solutions to deliver built space for hotel owners, developers and brands Leveraging a broad network to drive growth for the business Developing our people and inspiring others Supporting employee ambitions beyond the workplace Applying new technology and data to drive change Business Development What this job involves Managing industry changing projects As a Senior Project Manager at JLL, you will be directly responsible for leading and delivering challenging construction projects. Your strong knowledge of hospitality projects from start to finish will push the business forward through innovative and industry changing ideas. You will be focused on the client experience by managing stakeholders and minimizing risk. Your day to day will vary greatly and provide a dynamic work environment. You will be responsible for all aspects of a project including: RFPs, consultant contracts, monthly invoicing, budgeting & reporting, FF&E procurement oversight, driving schedule, conducting weekly meetings, construction oversight, punch list closeout. SPMs are typically allocated to 2-5 projects at a time, but this varies based on the size, duration & complexity of a project. Applicants should be open to travel as necessary. This role will serve a variety of clients and is based out of Southern California. This role will also require an entrepreneurial spirit that combines technical skillset with an acumen for business development. A focused effort on business development is required in parallel with supporting our PDS HHG clients and the individual projects that the candidate is responsible for executing. You are also encouraged to participate in internal JLL teambuilding and personal growth initiatives Education and experience A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. A degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management is preferred. (10-15+) years of relevant experience related to project or construction management. Hospitality, Hotel, F&B, Retail or Luxury construction project management experience preferred. Detailed oriented You need to take meticulous notes and maintain financial reporting for multimillion dollar projects. You will need to be a self-starter and be able to approach problems head-on. A relationship builder Both verbal and written communication skills are vital, and of course, you must be proficient at creating, managing and growing relationships with all levels of the organization & external clients. This is a client-facing role. Tech minded The real estate and construction industries are consistently changing with technology. You need to make technology work to your advantage and embrace technology and change. You must demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of project management technology tools and continually seek opportunities to develop your skillset. An achiever You have a proven track record of results as we'll expect you to act decisively, think big, and manage your time to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
