The Senior clinical program specialist is an experienced clinician who will serve as an operational expert and senior resource to the team at the UC San Diego Health Eating Disorders Center for Treatment and Research under the supervision of the Program Director. Primary job responsibilities include: 1. clinical evaluation and treatment; 2. care coordination, formulation of patient treatment plans, and case management; 3. clinical supervision and training; 4. administrative duties; 5. assists with oversight of day-to-day program operations; and 6. program evaluation and program development. This party will conduct family, individual and group therapy to the most severely ill and high-risk patients with eating disorders and a range of comorbid mental health disorders (e.g., substance use disorders, major depressive disorders, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder) at partial hospital and intensive outpatient levels of care. This clinician will serve as a senior resource person for many members of the treatment team, providing training, clinical supervision and oversight to licensed and unlicensed professionals and trainees. This position has recently been accreted by UPTE HX and will be a part of that union moving forward.
