Job Summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst will support the strategic goals of Monument Health by providing data and analytics for process improvement, business decision making and financial performance objectives. May support a wide variety of operational activities, with emphasis in the analytical support of finance, managed care, cost accounting, revenue cycle and other department's financial initiatives.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Work with customers to understand business needs for reporting requests and help identify opportunities to deliver business intelligence solutions that align with organizational strategies.
  • Documents requirements for report/data request. Works with Business Intelligence Developers when new extracts are needed.
  • Produce and publish scheduled and ad hoc reports as required by management.
  • In conjunction with leaders, medical staff and community, this position serves as a catalyst to translate strategic data analysis. Help the customer interpret and understand data in reports and how to apply them for improvements.
  • This position will analyze financial and operations data including but not limited to volumes, utilizations, payments, charges, costs, profitability and efficiency. Identify issues, trends, or interesting findings to be shared with customer.
  • This role will help analyze acute and ambulatory care contracts and government payment mechanisms to identify opportunities within services.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for, and participates in, ongoing performance and process improvement activities relating to analytics and data management.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

Preferred:

Education - Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or Healthcare
Experience - 3+ years of Business Analytic Experience

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
