Senior Video Engineer

A Senior Video Engineer job in Denver, CO is currently available at Belcan. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Video Engineer with a deep understanding of video technologies, including legacy video, streaming, and advertisements. The ideal candidate will have extensive software development expertise in video engineering and a profound knowledge of video infrastructure, such as DOCSIS, VOD, video players, encoders, and more. With 18-20 years of experience in the telecom industry, the candidate will focus on video engineering.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced video engineering solutions.
* Ensure seamless integration of legacy video systems, streaming technologies, and advertising platforms.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize video infrastructure, including DOCSIS, VOD, video players, and encoders.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and development teams.
* Manage and troubleshoot complex video delivery systems to ensure high-quality user experiences.
* Stay current with industry trends and advancements in video technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
* Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and best practices for video engineering processes.
* Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Required Qualifications
* 15 years of experience in the telecom industry, with a focus on video engineering.
* Expertise in video technologies, including legacy video systems, streaming protocols, and advertising integrations.
* Proficient in software development for video engineering, with experience in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, or similar.
* Strong understanding of video infrastructure components, including DOCSIS, VOD, video players, encoders, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
* Proven ability to lead and manage complex video engineering projects from conception to deployment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in video engineering and delivery.
* US Citizen or Green Card holder

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $120,000 to $150,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
