The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the University of California, Irvine, invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Environmental and Occupational Radiation Epidemiology.

Additional Information:

Postdoc level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Initial appointments are for one year; renewal is dependent on availability of funding.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Requirements:

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree or equivalent by the start of the appointment and have a strong background in radiation dosimetry, risk assessment, and environmental or occupational epidemiology. The incumbent is expected to work independently with occasional supervision and will have (co-) authored at least 1 peer-reviewed article in area of radiation and cancer epidemiology. Preference will be given to candidates with specialized training in the areas of statistical modeling, machine learning, and/or risk assessment for cancer outcomes, and those with previous contributions to research and creative activity. Preference will be given to candidates with a solid background in epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental/occupational health, and with excellent communication skills.
