Senior Media Specialist

Job Summary

This position's primary responsibility will be to support API's digital and paid media marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will be a creative, multidisciplined and self-motivating marketer with experience ensuring messaging consistency, benchmarking ad performance, managing content calendars, and driving the day-to-day maintenance on digital paid campaigns. The position will also support API's integrated communications and advocacy efforts such as list building, rapid response, internal communications, market research, and social media optimizations.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day marketing campaigns, including drafting and reviewing content, updating ad plans and trackers, supporting vendors and partners in upholding API standards, and keeping a pulse on ad performance trends
  • Provide optimization and messaging recommendations to the digitaland issuesteams based on ad performance trends
  • Support integrated campaigns as liaison to departments outside of Communications
  • Help track growth benchmarks and KPIs;and create analytics and insights reports on editorial content and audience growth
  • Ensure that best practices are applied to achieve standards of quality, efficiency and overall alignment of content, targeting andKPIs
  • Support outside vendors in the creation and productionof assets
  • Proposes new ideas and concepts to improve campaigns
  • Supports budget management
  • Supports contract management
  • Serves as primary liaison with mobilization department
  • Support in the production of all campaign video ads, including on-set direction and recommendation
  • Execute and optimize the internal review process among Legal and Policy departments for all paid media content
  • Provide support for Media Room usage, including assisting with lighting/sound/and technical support.
  • Manage all paid media campaigns and projects, ensuring necessary approvals are secured and deadlines are met

Qualifications

  • Requires 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and subject matter expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area, or other related field equivalent work experience
  • Experiencesupportingdigital,socialmarketing campaigns with trade associations,government, industryorotherrelatedexperience
  • Strong marketing, analytical and research skills,work ethic, independence, problem solving ability, and over-all positive attitude
  • Ability to prioritize (and juggle) projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer knowledge and skills, including in-depth knowledgeand proficiency withthe Microsoft Office Suite(Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)and other relevant software
  • Working knowledge and proficiencywithdigital and socialmarketing tools and platforms such asFacebook, Twitter, LinkedIn,Salesforce,KnowWho,etc.
  • High attention to detail
  • Passionate, curious self-starter who pursues thorough data analysis to spot new content-related and business opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Possess working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and other Adobe Creative Cloud Software

Physical Requirements

  • Able to remain in a stationary position working on a computer
  • Move about the office to access office machinery, meeting rooms, etc.
  • Operate a computer and other office machinery such as printers and copy machines
  • Transport items and equipment up to 25 lbs. on occasion

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 25%
