As an Admissions Specialist, you will be the first healthcare team member to interact with new patients and their families. Our patients may be in crisis, experiencing different levels of intoxication and/or emotional distress, so your ability to remain calm and offer help through the admission process is imperative to our patient's care. You would complete a telephonic and/or face to face assessment of the patient and make a level of care determination using medical necessity criteria. Take your patients all the way through our admissions process while using your high level of customer service skills to ensure a positive experience.

Position: Admissions Counselor
Shift: M-F, 2:30pm-11pm or Sat. and Sun. 8am-4:30pm, Mon., Tue., Wed., 2:30pm-11pm

Experience:
1. Must have experience in the behavioral health field.
2. Must have the ability to work with clients who are in crisis, experiencing different levels of intoxication and/or emotional distress.
3. Knowledge of basic medical terminology is preferred.
4. Experience in completing insurance benefit verification or precertification is preferred.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree is related Human Services field required.
