This experienced and dynamic Senior Civil Engineer will lead civil engineering projects, guiding the design and implementation of high-quality civil systems across sectors such as healthcare, commercial, institutional, and higher education projects. In this role you will:

    Collaborate with civil engineering leadership on day-to-day activities, delivering best practice civil engineering services to clients.
  • Serve as the lead civil project engineer, providing direction to the design and construction teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
  • Advise on project staffing needs and work with leadership to ensure appropriate resource allocation for civil engineering projects.
  • Monitor the quality and consistency of civil engineering design documents, ensuring they meet all regulatory, client, and project specifications.
  • Elevate best practices within the civil department, coordinating shared tools, processes, and promoting knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within the engineering team and across HGA to strengthen the company's network and drive collaboration.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, integration, and entrepreneurship and contribute to ongoing professional growth within the team.
  • Mentor junior engineers and staff, providing guidance for their professional development and growth within the organization.

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an EAC-ABET accredited program and a current Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the design of civil systems for healthcare, commercial, institutional, and/or higher education project types.
  • Proven ability to lead the design of site improvements for complex projects, with a passion for delivering high-quality and innovative design solutions.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, particularly in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, WinSLAMM, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, a solid understanding of civil engineering principles, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients, regulatory authorities, and the project team.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Salary Information:

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA's robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary range: $120,000 - $142,000
