Account Manager

As an Account Manager with our Power business unit your goal is to plan and manage sales activities of assigned accounts to meet sales objectives and to obtain targeted sales volume and profitability. You'll build working relationships with the key account stakeholders to manage day to day operations with a specific account as well as act as a two-way conduit to the account from the company and vice versa.

You will do this by:

  • Forecasting monthly and annual sales for assigned accounts
  • Investigating and reporting competitor activities
  • Communicating product changes, new product programs, samples, quotations, specifications and pricing changes in a timely manner
  • Managing internal and external conflict and providing resolution for accounts and the organization
  • Coordinating and communicating scheduling dates, backorder availability and shipping schedules with customers
  • Investigating and developing new sales opportunities, customers, and markets
  • Developing and implementing special pricing programs and promotions
  • Exercising extensive knowledge of product line and its application to customers
  • Building working relationships with the key stakeholders for each account

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Sales or related field OR equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of three years experience working in a sales environment or related field
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Related industry experience

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Expert on trade agreements that directly affect the sales area
  • Solid computer skills
  • Solid analytical skills to effectively develop strategies and solve problems
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Ability to initiate and complete projects independently
  • Good conflict resolution skills

Travel Required:

  • % of Travel: 25 - 30
  • How often: Monthly to Quarterly
  • Where: Domestically
