Job Summary: The Director of Clinical Sourcing within The Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) Supply Chain Department is responsible for leading, managing, transforming and developing the clinical category of products and services portfolio for JHHS. This includes creating and executing against a contracting strategy and leading, managing and developing a team of Clinical Sourcing Leads, Sourcing Specialists, Contract Analysts and Project Leads to manage and strategically source and manage contracts for a category clinical products and services. The Director of Clinical Sourcing will also oversee day to day contracting activities such as the monitoring of contract performance, the development, evaluation and management of vendor relationships, the drafting and negotiating of contracts, the building of relationships with JHHS stakeholders (particularly physicians and nurses) and the implementation of contracts with end users. This position will also develop presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders and engage with them to build consensus on product standardization and purchase aggregation across the JHHS. In collaboration with the Analytics and Value Analysis Directors, this role oversees benchmarking activities, the reviewing of industry best practices and other initiatives to achieve cost savings and increase quality. The process of leading and developing a contract portfolio for a category of clinical products and services should at all times be aligned with the vision for the future of Supply Chain, namely, sourcing the best quality products at the best price, treating customers with service orientation and focusing on supply chain excellence internally.
