The anticipated salary range for this role is between $166,000.00and $205,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Jenius Bank is hiring an experienced Director, Project Management. As a leader, you will be the owner and driver of several key initiatives, complex projects, end to end delivery to support the strategic vision of Jenius Bank.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create and implement a best-in-class project management department where the strategic projects achieve their set goals and are completed within the timelines and budget.
  • Actively directs all project managers to fulfill project management activities and responsibilities including education, accolades or disciplinary support when needed.
  • Streamlines the reporting templates and processes for ease of workload on the project managers.
  • Work collaboratively across all areas of the organization and partners with other leaders to build trust for the successful project outcomes.
  • Proactively identify and communicate critical path items to management, team leads and functional leads.
  • Develop and execute project plans and timelines, track and manage milestones within the defined scope, time and cost constraints, support coordination and communication between teams.
  • Proactively identify project issues, including those related to timing, resources and funding, to prevent delays in project milestones.
  • Embraces emerging technologies such as AI to automate workflow and reduce administrative burden.
  • Hire, manage, and grow a team of PMs.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience in a related industry (experience owning a program/product/feature, scoping requirements, planning milestones, project management and working with stakeholders, product and technical teams)
  • 10+ years of experience leading software development projects with aggressive schedules and large business impact.
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset that focuses on putting the customer first.
  • Experience in demand management, technology project management, and portfolio management.
  • Proficiency with common project management tools, practices and methodology.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities to deliver results to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to think critically, interpret regulations and/or standards, apply them to changes and determine resulting course of actions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong alliances internally and externally.
  • Proven conflict management skills.
  • Ability to interface at all levels of the organization
  • Good Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing and mentoring team members.
  • Ability to rationalize both strategically and tactically and be able to present recommendations to senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (i.e., Scrum, Kanban etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong Experience with project delivery for large, mission-critical, cross-functional projects
  • A passion for data-driven decision-making.
  • Bachelor of Science degree (computer science or equivalent) is preferred.
