Position: Operational Readiness Activation & Transition (ORAT) Coordinator, Senior - LAWA

Function: Airport Operational Readiness Logistics

Location: Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA)

Remote Work Option: No

Salary Range: $100- $120k

Security Requirements

Must be a US citizen or a legal resident for three of the past five years. Public Trust cannot be granted without meeting the residency requirement.

Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance (moderate risk), including a soft credit check and criminal background check. Please refer to the criteria listed in
5 CFR 731.202 to understand the Public Trust suitability requirements.

Job Summary

This position will provide Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) Logistics and Move/Mobilization Coordination support. The successful candidate will manage and oversee the logistics, move & mobilization, planning, developing, coordination, and scheduling of all operational readiness activities for a variety of LAWA's CIP projects and its stakeholders.

Relevant Experience

* At least 10 years or more experience, preferably on airport projects.

* 5-10 years of experience in an airport operational setting is required.

* A minimum of two years' experience at level within a similar role.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related, and/or a logical assignment for this position. Other duties may be required and assigned.

General Support

* Manage and coordinate the move and mobilization activities in collaboration with all team members, stakeholders and relevant agencies.

* Manage space logistics and change initiatives, which include driving process improvements across LAWA projects and stakeholders.

* Develop move and mobilization plans for major LAWA CIP projects.

* Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication.

* Manage stakeholder communications and collaboration.

* Participate in and support planning of the Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) Program.

* Review the design documents and specifications of facilities and systems and assess operational requirements for select CIP projects.

* Assist in the collection, review and modification of standard operating procedures.

* Assist in developing orientation and familiarization training courses that cover generic facility spaces, functions and systems and individual stakeholder requirements.

* Assist in developing trial scripts and ensure alignment of these by applicable system or function.

* Coordinate operational readiness activities with applicable stakeholders.

* Work closely with the AOR Subject Matter Experts on the execution of operational readiness assignments.

* Submits weekly activity efforts and status reports to the AOR Manager.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction, Planning or related fields; preferred with a concentration in coordination and logistics; or related field.

Skills Requirements

* Attention to detail, strong time management skills

* 5-10 years of experience in an airport operational setting is required.

* Experience in change management and optimization of project management processes.

* Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices for airport systems.

* Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing.

* Proven leadership and management capability is required. Excellent written and oral communications skills.

* A minimum of two years' experience at level within a similar role.

* Proven ability to work under pressure.

* Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.

* Proven team management skills with effective communication across functions.

* Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices for airport systems.

* Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, training, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing.

* Proven leadership and management capability is required.

* Conduct business in a professional manner, keeping the client and projects at the forefront of every day's priority.

* Work with team members to actively contribute to the group to complete tasks, meet goals or manage projects.

* Work as a team player, actively listening to coworkers, respect ideas and aim to improve the product or process at hand.

* Excellent planning and organizational skills as well as time management.

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Analytical and logical thinking required.

* May assume other duties as required/needed.
