This position is responsible for providing both general and molecular support for poultry and swine coccidiosis programs. Key duties include organizing daily laboratory activities related to parasitological submissions, performing and overseeing traditional parasitology techniques and research, as well as applying molecular biology methods for detecting and analyzing coccidian parasites. Responsibilities also include collecting, analyzing, and interpreting field results, as well as overseeing research trials. In addition, this role will collaborate closely with Ceva veterinarians and sales teams to offer technical support to customers.
Responsibilities and Key Duties:
Laboratory Supervision & Departmental Collaboration: Oversee laboratory activities and contribute to key departmental functions, including project planning, budgeting, team management, and resolving intra- and inter-departmental challenges. Actively participate in weekly team meetings to ensure alignment on timelines and objectives.
Cross-Functional Project Support: Provide assistance on projects spanning Industrial Operations, Scientific Support, and Product Support, ensuring smooth execution and collaboration across departments.
Whole Genome Sequencing & Genetic Analysis: Analyze and assemble whole genome sequencing data (short- and long-read NGS), focusing on genetic variation analyses such as SNPs, INDELs, and genomic rearrangements.
Teamwork with R&D, and Sales & Marketing
Data Communication & Organization: Efficiently track, communicate, and organize results and data, ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of information.

Technical / Functional Competencies:
Parasitology: Expertise in designing and analyzing laboratory and field trials, along with conducting diagnostic testing. Proficient in applying advanced statistical tools for veterinary and animal health research, ensuring rigorous and accurate results in parasitology studies.
Project Management: Strong time management, prioritization, and planning abilities, with proven success in managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering on deadlines.
Possesses strong visual inspection skills, including color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus as needed.
