Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Lead, plan and create television and digital advertisements for external business customers. Act as a liaison to business customers to ensure sales activities meet or exceed the customer's expectations and company and departmental quality standards. Perform in-person videographer shoots for commercials. Drive company vehicle to travel up to 5-hour radius outside of Grand Forks, North Dakota area once or twice a month.

KEY FUNCTIONS:



  • Research, identify and manage freelance actor relationships.
  • Direct and lead medium to large on-location shoots. Work directly with actors, additional videographers, grips and coordinators.
  • Lead on special projects including but not limited to process/pricing projects ensuring deadlines are met, process documentation created and training executed prior to release.
  • Perform administrative duties such as proof-reading documents, and performing research.
  • Write professional and effective advertising copy.
  • Work directly with customers to determine pertinent details regarding their advertising requirements, including working directly with other agencies.
  • Create and design, static and video digital advertising.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement while creating and implementing viable solutions.
  • Produce television advertisements, including concept creation, writing, production, videography, and editing.
  • Operate video cameras, non-linear computer editing equipment. Adobe Premiere, Final Cut or equivalent.
  • Possess proficiency in lighting.
  • Create motion graphics using, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects or equivalent.
  • Present concepts and explain production methods to customers and members of the Sales Team.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Adhere to Midco privacy guidelines to ensure each customer's privacy.
  • Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Videographer/Producer I:



  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Prior customer service or sales experience preferred.
  • Experience with a project management application preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills required.


Videographer/Producer II:



  • High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in journalism, television production, advertising or equivalent is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of prior experience in a video production environment required.
  • Proficient knowledge of motion graphics and design.
  • General knowledge of digital advertising.
  • Experience with a project management application preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills.


Videographer/Producer III:



  • High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in journalism, television production, advertising or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior experience in a video production environment required. or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Proficient knowledge of motion graphics and design.
  • General knowledge of digital advertising.
  • Experience with a project management application preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills.


Videographer/Producer IV:



  • High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in journalism, television production, advertising or equivalent is preferred.
  • 8-10 years of prior experience in a video production environment required or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Proficient knowledge of motion graphics and design
  • General knowledge of digital advertising.
  • Experience with a project management application preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills.


WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:



  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 70 lbs.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
  • In-person visits to a customer's place of business are normal in the performance of this job. Specific abilities required include accessing a customer's place of business by stairs or elevator, operating doors or other entrances, navigating hallways and buildings, etc., and adapting successfully to a constantly changing environment.
  • Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
