SUMMARY:

US Navy Strike Fighter Weapon Schools (SFWS) are responsible for advanced squadron level training for F/A-18 squadrons based at NAS Lemoore, CA and NAS, Ocean, VA. The training requires flight event data collection, analysis and reporting during Strike Fighter Advanced Readiness Program (SFARP) training conducted both in Lemoore, CA, as well as other training sites. The SFARP Configuration Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and analytical procedures associated with the position and being intimately aware of company policies, procedures, and systems related to the position.

QUALIFICATIONS, ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Have a thorough understanding of SFARP training requirements.
  • Provide analytical support for the SFARP evaluation database.
  • Directly liaison with SFWS personnel.
  • Understand the purpose and importance for SFARP, how aircrew events during SFARP are conducted, the scoring/grading of events and must be familiar with terminology and basic operation of aviation weapons and weapons systems used during the evolution of SFARP.
  • This position requires the ability to communicate effectively using community-specific terms and phraseology.
  • This position shall have the capability to understand and interpret collected data in order to efficiently resolve or recover missing and/or incomplete data.
  • Required working hours from 0730 until 1600 Monday through Friday when not on detachment and shall provide support to all SFARP detachments on-site at training locations, including OCONUS, when required.
  • Additional duties, when not performing SFARP database tasks, shall include but not be limited to administrative SFARP detachment preparations before, during and after SFARP detachments.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:



  • Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred, and years of experience and/or training in a directly related field.
  • Must have expert level experience in MS Excel, as well as proficient in Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Prior US Navy aviation experience required.
  • Experience working as an SFARP Coordinator on the Naval Aviation Strike Fighter and Electronic Warfare (EW) Training Programs Curriculum Revision and Maintenance (R&M) contract desired.
  • Understanding of US Navy Strike Fighter training practices required.
  • Strong communication skills, and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented individual with exceptional organizational skills who can prioritize effectively to successfully execute the work with minimal supervision.
  • Periodic travel to training site locations will be required.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Security Clearance.
  • Hourly rate is $62.40 w/locality and H&W
