Requirements

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the launch and day to day operation of the NFI Parts stocking location for the Midlife Overhaul Program. Main responsibilities include receiving, warehousing, picking, packing, kit building, shipping and cycle counting of all parts used for the Midlife Overhaul Program. This position will need to collaborate extensively with the onsite Program Manager as well as other members of the NFI Parts team to ensure the Midlife Overhaul Program is successful.

**This position is for the term of the Midlife Overhaul Program, anticipated for a duration of approximately 4 years**

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Establish and maintain a safe working environment in the Midlife Overhaul Program stocking location
  • Responsible for all receiving, warehousing, picking, packing, kitting, shipping, and cycle counting of all parts used for the Midlife Overhaul Program
  • Develop processes for efficient picking, packing, kitting, and shipping functions as part of the Program
  • Inspect all incoming parts shipments to ensure the correct quantity of parts are received
  • Track and report on daily parts shortages
  • Assist Program Manager in developing kitting and shipping schedules for all required parts
  • Work with Inventory Planning to ensure the right parts and inventory levels are on site to meet Program timelines
  • Order and maintain any required warehouse supplies
  • Support Program Manager in providing weekly reporting on Program status to LT/DLT/ELT
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies, and act upon them as appropriate.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • High School education with post secondary education considered and asset
  • Experience overseeing material management including receiving, warehousing, pick and packing required
  • Forklift license considered an asset
  • Bus / Coach technical knowledge considered an asset
  • Material management, warehousing and cycle counting experience
  • Experience with Oracle considered a strong asset
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Motivated self-starter with capabilities to work within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
