The Smilow Cancer Hospital Cancer Genetics and Prevention Program offers a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care. Under the direction of the Lead Genetic Counselor, and as a member of this team, the Genetic Counselor provides outstanding integrated patient care and supports the program's commitment to teaching and performing research in different aspects of cancer genetics. Qualifications EDUCATION Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling from an ABGC Accredited Program. EXPERIENCE At least one year of experience as a genetic counselor in an oncology setting preferred but new graduates welcome to apply. LICENSURE Licensed as a genetic counselor in the state of Connecticut (at least temporary permit) SPECIAL SKILLS Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
