Job Description Loading workpieces onto the machine, aligning them accurately, and using the grinding wheel to shape and smooth surfaces according to blueprints or instructions Operate and may set up one or more types of precision grinding machines such as surface, external, internal or centerless, on a limited range of production work having ordinary recessing and contours. Set up machines on standard operations where speeds and other settings are prescribed Select wheels for a normal range of materials and finish requirements. Ability to work with close tolerances and difficult set-ups of parts of irregular shapes. Ability to inspect workpieces for defects. Other duties as assigned.
