Attractions Manager, Orlando, FL, Full-Time GENERAL SUMMARY: Responsible for managing all aspects of the programs and attraction activities with the Crayola Experience. Manages the attractions and entertainment team members, in some locations this includes maintenance and custodial staff. Provides training to team members which ensures excellent guest service, ability to provide information about Crayola products and ability to promote the programs. Responsible for the overall maintenance of the manufacturing equipment, attractions and Crayola Experience, include the store. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for CE financial performance - attendance, revenue and EBIT.
- Manages the Attractions cost center to deliver against set budget/spending targets.
- Approves all orders for attraction supplies to ensure availability of required materials based on established budget parameters.
- Establishes Attractions staffing plans based on budget and performance metrics.
- Responsible for delivering a high quality, safe guest experience - minimum of 95% guest satisfaction rating.
- Supports design of standard CE training content and curriculum for the part-time staff. Responsible for on boarding and remedial training of all staff within the department.
- Provides input to the Marketing and Business Development teams in the design and development of new attractions and activities/content. Must ensure new attractions/activities are operationally sound.
- Monitors daily operations of each attraction and adapts staffing/operational plans as required to deliver best guest experience.
- Responsible for handling any guest service issues.
- Keep all attractions clean and tidy. Removing dust, fingerprints, excess product, and outside elements.
- Work with the marketing team to adjust crafts, theming, and attraction signage.
- Develop classes, holiday activities, and programs to support the marketing and sales team.
- Manages the Attractions staff, including Assistant Managers, the entertainment staff and other guest service personnel - in some CE Locations this includes maintenance and custodial staff.
- Responsible for all performance reviews for department staff.
- Responsible for seasonal & monthly rotation schedules for attractions staff.
- Approves and is responsible for all scheduling of all part-time attractions team members.
- Responsible for coaching employees related to policies and procedures and reinforcing compliance to policies. Responsible for all discipline action, as required.
- Approve time record in Kronos.
- Train and create team on entertainment shows and character meet and greets.
- Implement routine playground safety inspections and checks. Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to address any concerns/fixes.
- Support the General Manager in the overall management of the facility.
- Participates in the Manager on Duty rotation. While on duty, assumes management responsibility across all department in the facility.
- Participate in job fairs and interviewing candidates for roles across the operation, recommends candidates to hire.
- Provides input on any facility-wide policies and operational decisions.
- Responsible for all communication across department to ensure effective and efficient operation of the facility.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience; 5 yr. experience in retail, guest services, or general business environment.
- Ability to engage guests, children, and families in an upbeat, positive manner.
- Prior experience working with children preferred.
- Prior experience in guest service center or family attraction helpful.
- Strong oral, interpersonal and guest service skills required. Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to guest service and programming procedures and policies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple functions and multitask.
- Required to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
