Job Description

The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry is seeking a Dental Hygienist to fill the position of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontics. This department is responsible for pre-doctoral and dental specialty students, patient care, and service in periodontics. Specific responsibilities of this position include pre-doctoral classroom and clinical instruction in periodontics. Experience teaching in a didactic and/or clinical environment is an advantage.

The position is a 12 month, full-time (1.0 FTE), benefit-eligible, ranked, non-tenure track academic position. Opportunity for ranked promotion is provided.

Qualifications

  • Candidates are required to have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Dental Hygiene or a related field.
  • Applicants must be eligible for and obtain the appropriate Missouri Dental Hygiene License prior to starting their employment. For more information about licensing, see https://pr.mo.gov/.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with applicant qualifications (e.g., credentials, education, and experience). There is an opportunity for additional compensation in clinical practice.
