Corporate Sales Manager

The Embassy Suites in Rockford is looking for a full time Corporate Sales Manager who is committed to providing first class service as part of a collaborative team.

As the Corporate Sales Manager on our team, you will complete a variety of tasks which will include:

1. Work to maximize revenue in the corporate market segments.

2. Responsible for guest room, meeting room and banquet, audio visual, revenue.

3. Responsible for corporate sales including LNR's, group and meeting business.

4. Initiate solicitation efforts of the corporate sales function through effective oral and written communication while overseeing rate, date, and space commitments for group room sales within the hotel. Quotes group rates, prepares group contracts.

5. Follow-up with team members to ensure meetings and events go as planned to further ensure repeat business opportunities.

6. Make reasonable recommendations to improve potential from various markets.

7. Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.

8. Adhere to sales action plan and execute plans as outlined, examining, and adjusting as deemed necessary by current market conditions.

9. Organize and/or attend scheduled department head, sales, event and/or all staff and related meetings.

10. Knowledge of travel industry, current market trends and local economic factors.

11. Direct and manage all group, transient, and catering/banquet sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotel pertaining to the corporate market segments.

12. Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events.

The position is ideal for someone with the following experience and qualities:

1. Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent education and experience, required.

2. Sales experience in hotel or similar level preferred.

3. May work weekends, some nights, and holidays.

4. Positive, outgoing, team focused, guest service centered leadership attitude.
