The Team Lead of Restaurant Service Technicians is part of the Restaurant Facility Team which is tasked with continuously monitoring, repairing, and optimizing the performance of existing restaurant assets to discover defects, improve reliability, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction more quickly. The director will lead Mobile Restaurant Service Technicians (RST) who are dedicated to supporting a restaurant chain well known for its superior service across multiple markets in the US. This director will support the technicians who are performing preventative and reactive care to Kitchen Equipment and Building Systems which include HVAC, kitchen hood ventilation, refrigeration, and hot/cold cooking production equipment. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge for the Hot and Cold Sides of Kitchen Production Equipment, Closed Refrigeration Systems, Building Mechanical and Exhaust Systems and with a proven track record of leading others in a service driven environment.

Candidate must live in/around the Atlanta, GA area.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishing and leading a regional maintenance operation and team that could ultimately grow to a national maintenance operation and team.
  • Establishing Preventative Maintenance (PM) Tasks/Schedules per location/market
  • Incorporate Reactive program that compliments PM program.
  • Implementing CMMS technology
  • Hiring, onboarding, and training maintenance professionals
  • Coordination of route schedules
  • Establishing safety programs
  • Provide technical leadership and support to key internal stakeholders.
  • Work with Operators to determine unique needs for each location.
  • Support parts, supplies & material purchasing program.
  • Support monthly invoicing process.
  • Support Fleet Management program.

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree preferred (Business, Architecture, Construction or Technical Trade) or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification/Experience in MEP; MEP Subject Matter Expert, CEFESA Master Technician
  • Strong Commercial Kitchen Equipment knowledge
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related trade experience in service work for kitchen equipment, construction, and/or facilities management.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and working knowledge of appropriate tools, gauges, meters, etc. in the execution of work required.
  • Ability to read diagrams and schematics.
  • EPA Universal Certification (Hydrocarbon Refrigerant Certification a plus HC "A3" & HFO "A2L")
  • State Issued Electrical and/or HVAC Licensed not required, but highly valued.
  • Proven experience in leadership role(s)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Ability to take initiative and recognize a need to act without prompting from supervisor.
  • Unwavering Positive Service Attitude with the ability to maintain a friendly, helpful attitude, and demonstrate empathy to CFA Operators.
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills
  • Ability to travel - 30%
