Key responsibilities include:
Be Single Point of Contact between JLL, client and waste management service providers. Conduct field audits and monitoring of program activities and subcontractor performance to evaluate program effectiveness Collaborates extensively with the client's non-hazardous waste program manager and waste sub-contractors to implement and monitor solid waste initiatives & program financials to make progress toward client's solid waste goals Receives and responds to inquiries, requests for assistance and complaints regarding solid waste and recycling programs. Investigates complaints and coordinates with other stakeholders; proposes corrective actions Develop and implement a multi-faceted waste management program strategy. Establish strong working relationships with regional leads to deliver local targets as well as overarching targets. Support account, regional corporate reporting objectives and provide management information relating to waste and the impact on the internal and external environment. Manage the data collection process for all waste management related metrics within JLL's technology platform and produce monthly and quarterly reports that are tailored to meet our clients' specific requirements. Drive operational improvements though the identification and implementation of opportunities to improve waste and sustainability performance across extensive real estate portfolios. Collaborate with other JLL regional managers to share best practices, develop case studies and develop opportunities. Develop and enhance systems and processes for delivering best practice sustainability performance and use of sustainability management systems for monitoring and/or reporting purposes. To apply you need to be / have: Requirements - Essential Degree/Certification (Environmental Sustainability or related fields) Applicable Federal, State, County laws, regulations, policies and procedures relating, or relevant, to non-hazardous solid waste management General knowledge of waste collection, separation, transportation, recycling, and disposal operations Record keeping principles and procedures Ability to assemble and analyze information and prepare written reports and records in a clear and concise manner Ability to plan and prioritize deadlines and think strategically to identify innovative solutions Strong problem-solving skills and experience developing sustainability solutions Ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view Requirements - Desirable Knowledge and appreciation of sustainability markets and procurement globally Bi-lingual (Spanish) TRUE Zero Waste Certification Strong project management skills and an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a high pressure, deadline driven environment Knowledge of environmental reporting, an environmental improvement program, and ISO 14001 compliance.
