Job Summary

Oversee and perform various functions of institutional and foundation scholarship programs in support of the college's delivery of these funds to students. Perform various functions of state scholarship programs as needed. Function as a liaison between the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships department with other departments across the college when necessary. Assist with the awarding and coordination of the funds to meet requirements.


Essential Duties

Award, adjust and coordinate scholarship funds. Ensure students selected for scholarship meet eligibility criteria and requirements.

Ensure institutional, foundation, and other 3rd party scholarships are processed appropriately by working with multiple departments for compliance.

Serve as secondary to ensure state scholarships are processed appropriately by working with multiple departments for compliance.

Assist with the administration of TCC General Scholarship Application and software system (Academic Works).

Assist with the creation, management and evaluation of the scholarship programs in accordance with institutional priorities and state and federal regulations.

Reconcile scholarship accounts, updating and maintaining student tracking reports for individual scholarship programs.

Participate in various committees, professional trainings, industry conferences and conventions.


Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent education in Business, Accounting or other related area. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.

1 year experience directly related to awarding and coordinating aid.

Ability to be detail-oriented with good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to perform responsibilities with initiative and minimal supervision.

Ability to interact effectively in a team based environment, college service areas and student population.


Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or other related area. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.
