Senior Manager, New Product Commercialization

Overview

The company has a rich and deep pipeline and is looking to expand its Pipeline Commercialization capability by bringing on a Sr. Manager to support strategic initiatives across various programs in development. This individual will be a critical member of the value and pipeline commercialization team and will report to the global commercial lead of Zilebesiran. They will support Zilebesiran, Alnylam's flagship program in hypertension as well as other programs in development. This individual will partner with program Teams, Medical Affairs, Market Access, as well as other commercial teams to execute strategies that maximizes the value of Alnylam's pipeline.

This position is onsite / hybrid onsite and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project management of Early Commercial and Medical Strategy Team meetings for zilebesiran to ensure tracking of key initiatives including execution and impact
  • Provide commercial insight and analytical support for commercial assessments and high-level market situation assessments across the pipeline, including business development opportunities
  • Together with other pipeline commercial leads, assess and prioritize the commercial opportunity & attractiveness of targets and indications in or approaching early development
  • Work closely with forecasting and insights lead to design and execute primary market research studies based on a clear understanding of business questions and objectives
  • Synthesize secondary data and knowledge of the competitive environment to inform business strategy
  • Develop and communicate a clear view of treatment dynamics: ensuring a common understanding of the disease/treatment experience based on representative input from patients and physicians
  • Be a champion for our Patients!

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Science or a related field required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech commercialization, with at least 3 years in new product planning or launch readiness
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Must be a strong communicator, able to confidently present findings and commercial perspectives to senior leaders across different parts of the organization
  • Collaborative and can flex when needed and pursues data-driven decisions
  • Skills in budgeting and financial management to oversee commercial planning activities and ensure they align with the company's financial goals
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions, address complex challenges, and devise innovative solutions in a dynamic industry
