Description
POSITION: Therapist I- School Based Services (Grandview School District)

DEPARTMENT: Outpatient Therapy (Field and Office location)

Starting Salary: $50,000- $55,000 (Annually)

(Starting salary depends on education and experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Become an integral part of an award willing Social and Emotional Health Program in the Grandview C-4 School District. The Therapist I - School Based Services reports to the Clinical Manager of School Based services and will support students, families, and district personnel in the Grandview School District to address personal, emotional and social problems. The focus of the position will be three-fold- supporting the Early Childhood Center as well as supporting Kindergarten transition in the five elementary schools and supporting staff in need of therapeutic services. You would potentially be called in to support other grades up through eighth grade if there were a significant need. The therapist will provide individual, family, group therapy and/or wrap-around case management support in addition to crisis management as needed to students. The Therapist will support center staff and personnel with individual therapeutic and crisis management support to address personal, emotional and social problems that interfere with their ability to provide the best education, services and support possible to children. This position is a full-time twelve (12) month position per year. Therapist I will provide continuum of care services to families during the summer months while school is not in session and could include in-school, in-home, in-office and virtual depending on needs of the families. Some in home and after-hours work may be required to meet needs.

QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires masters degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or as a licensed professional counselor. Other minimum requirements: Able to apply for professional licensure (e.g. LMSW, PLPC, LMFT)

Must be at least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver's license, proof of current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.

BONUS: $2,500 ($1,000.00 Sign-on Bonus will be paid on your first paycheck and the $1,500.00 Retention Bonus will be paid after 12 months of service.)
